Goibibo

I booked apple rose hotel in shimla from this site at the time christmas last year.when I read the policy it said that the booking money would be refunded in case of cancellation of the booking.we tried to book 2 rooms for 1851 each. first room got booked and we received the confirmation email also but we did not receive the confirmation mail for the second room and to add to our tension money did get deducted from our account.

later our circumstances made us to cancel the hotel reservation of only the first room.we did not receive any refund. when we called the customer care number of goibibo they told us that the booking was non refundable and they told us that the second room never got booked because there were no more rooms available at that hotel.they told us that we would receive the money cut for the second room within two weeks with some compensation money for the inconvenience .we told them that when we read it, it was a refundable policy . they said that they could not return the money so we requested them to book back the room because it is better to have an expensive room than to lose the money booked for the expensive room and then book a cheap room.after a lot of calls and effort they booked us back that room without charging any money.and the money of the second room got refunded within two weeks but with no compensation.

most hotels have outsourced there work to goibibo so they have a lot of offers but I would recommend you to book hotels when you reach your destination as there are cheaper accommodations available than all at goibibo. I chose this site for booking hotels because I had only heard about this site for travelling problems
