First thing first......of all the places I have visited or lived in......nowhere have I eaten such delicious food as in BANGALORE.Whether it is the mouth-watering biryani or kebabs or Dosa\Idli, B’lore serves you with the best.After checking out some of the popular restaurants\food joints here......it was now time for me to get a taste of NORTH INDIAN CUISINE.......so my father took us to GOLCONDA CHIMNEY, which is situated in the outskirts of Bangalore(somewhere near Marthahalli, on Whitefield road).The place is far from the city......and is very quite and serene.So you can sure have a good time.
It was my first visit to this restaurant.......but I had heard a lot about the food, coz my father is a regular here.There is a good variety of food served here.....but we decided to order KATHI ROLES, DAL MAKANI, MUSHROOM MUTTER, BUTTER CHICKEN, NAN\ROTI.The quantity of food served was good.....and sufficient for six people(we were a group of six people).Now to the food.......it was absolutely delicious, mouth-watering......it had the distinct dhaba kind of flavour, as it was being cooked in Tandoor.The Butter chicken in particular was very tasty.There is also a varity of sweet dish served here, we all had KULFI FALOODA......(which you normally get to eat in the North), it was yummy.....other than this you can have FIRNI, KHEER, ICE-CREAMS, GULAB-JAMUN, FRUIT-CREAM.
The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful.It has been made in a dhaba style......and has a very rustic look, its open and the walls are all made of stone, and have been left like that........with just some bells hanging on the ceilings.There are two floors and enough seats to accomadate a large amount of people.The restaurant is actually situated inside a big garden......so there is lot of greenary......and it is very clean and well-kept.An ideal place to have dinner or lunch, far from the madding crowd.
The service is quite good.......though a bit slow, coz most of the time there are more people than they can handle.But otherwise they are helpful.......and will keep a check on you, as to what you want, moreover they are the non-interfering types......so you can enjoy your meal.
Parking is also not a problem coz there is enough space outside the restaurant.......and there are security guards who will help you park the car.
There is also a juice corner and a paan shop.......just as you come out of the resturant, in the garden.So if you want you can also have a glass of juice or PAAN after having your meal.
So guys if you are living in Bangalore......or planning to come here.......do vist GOLCONDA CHIMNEY, coz the food here rocks, though it is a bit expensive, but will be every bit your money’s worth.I am a foodie......and relish good food, but than who doesn’t?So if you are like me.......you surely have to make your way to this place.....and I am sure you’ll not be dissapointed.
