I would like to share my experience about The golden temple located in Amritsar, Punjab, India.I visited this place before a few months with my family.Though I dont follow sikh religion, I have huge respect for it.I wanted to visit The golden temple since I read guru granth sahib.I was deeply influenced by guru granth sahib.this temple was orginally a place to meditate for saints who sought enlightenment. It is said that initially a lake was created here, and because of purity of the place water in the late was referred to as Amrit, a holy drink for gods which gives inmorality and thus the enter city is known as Amritsar. In around 17th century Guru Arjan Sahib installed newly created Guru Granth Sahib in this temple, and since then it is been read every moment by the followers of the sikh religionThis Temple is created in the middle of the lake and the outer walls of the chamber are coated with real gold. This is probably the only temple of its kind in the whole world.unlike most temples in India which have one entry only, we can enter the Golden Temple from all four directions.however, it is not the structural or the golden coating that distinguishes it or make it a unique place acvoding to me, the positively, purity, and the holiness of the place is far greater than the aesthetic beauty of the place.when I enter the temple corridor my heart filled with bliss. I felt as if I was at a special place.the peace, the vibes of the place was so powerful that I felt an instance meditative state from the very moment I entered it.from the bridge that connects main shrine, we can see a clear reflection of the temple in the water of the lake and the entire scene is not only soothing. But it is also a blissful experience I have seen the same and many photos and movies in the past but watching the reflection of the tallest temple in the water with my own eyes was an awesome experience. then I went to the main shrine , where the original Guru Granth Sahib is placed. I sought blessings from the deities of the sikh religion.I must say that my visit tothe golden temple was really memorable and I personally recommend all to go and visit this place at least once.
