I had seen this restaurant many times while passing by, but never went there since I never got a review from anyone I knew... so this restaurant (being sooo accesible for me) remained unvisited for almost years after its existence.. for people who dont know, this restaurant is on sion trombay highway, bang opposite the celebrations restaurant.
Anyways, to begin with, the ambeince is very good.. it is a perfect setting for a romantic evening.. though there are families that frequent this place too... from the outside it looks quite small... it would almost miss the eye, but the inside isn’t any less than a ’’china garden’’ or ’’mainland china’’
The menu has alot of varieties... for vegetarians (since I am one), non vegetarians and sea food loves... and this place serves authentic chinese, which is otherwise only available at extra posh eateries... though im a food freak, the usual options in chinese have always been munchurian, triple rice and hakka noodles at all times..
Since me and my friend were in the mood to try something new, we asked the order-taker to suggest something, to which he obliged, and the dinner just turned out perfect...
We started with veg lung fung soup... it was the best of the evening... I would really recommend it to one an all... they also give you complimentary bowl of salad on each table... for starters, we had paneer with crispy spinach, actually this has been my favorite so I’m partial to it.. we decided to skip rice and opt for noodles instead, and on the advice of the order taker, we opted for korean flat noodles... and believe me I cleared my plate though I was stuffed... and with what people around me were ordering I can say that each dish looked equally tempting...
The price also isnt sumthing that one would feel a pinch for... really.. though it hasnt been a much talked and written about restaurant in chembur, i would highly recommend it to all I know...
(p.s.: this is my 1st review at MS, yea, me being a food freak, I had to start with writing about a restaurant... but I will keep writing on many other things that interest me... atleast, till u all keep reading...)
