Generally people browse the website like mouthshut to get an general idea or overview about a service or product. It is expected that people who have used that service or a product have had the first hand experience, and are in a position to explain any problems/ uses that the manufacturere has failed to highlight. But the case of a buisness like Goldquest is entirelly a different ball game. One must understand that a person who writes a review as a user of Goldquest is not like an average user of any other product. He is now practically a shareholder in a buisness and has every interest in ensuring the sucess of this model. There is a very very big conflict of interest here.
If you want to know more about Goldquest system, u can read this : https://mouthshut.com/review/GoldQuest.com-69912-1.html. But this review is not about the pros and cons of Goldquest. It is aboutthe ethics in reviewing. How much can you trust on a review about a service which is written by the provider of the service. Or say a review on a product which has been written by its manufacturer.
Here is an example. Suppose you buy a Hero Honda Bike. The bike is great and dealer response is always good. You give a positive review for that. Note that you dont stand to gain anything by giving a positive review. You are only directing potential buyers by telling your positive experience. The dealer stands to gain buisness due to his good services, that he definitely deserves.
Now come to Goldquest. Any person who is in this scheme, who is a member of this scheme will always promote this. Because no matter how good or how big a fraud this scheme is, he stands to gain only by promoting it. So he has a vested interest in making people join this scheme. He is in fact a STAKEHOLDER here and not a USER by any means. A review by a stakeholder is purely an advertisement and should be differentiated from a genuine review written by a USER of a product which is expected to provide a critical analyses of Pros and cons of a product by users point of view. Therefore if someone is genuinelly interested in knowing more about this scheme, a good idea will be to read all the negative reviews and clear the doubts raised by those before moving ahead. It might be safe to treat all the positive reviews as a unpaid advertisements, which they probably are. You must remember that not everything that is there in a advertisement is right or wrong. But an advertisement never highlights the negative or bad points.
Imagine, would you trust every single word in a review on Maruti Car written by a dealer of Maruti. The problem with Goldquest is that there are no users here, only dealers. A user who buys a Maruti car may like it or dislike it and accordingly rate it. But a maruti dealer will always say good about its brand, he can not afford to say anything else. This is his buisness. Similarly every dealer/member/ whatever u call them of Goldquest will always write good things and rate it very highly in any review on goldquest in the hope to draw more persons into the scheme and prevent it from collapsing. Because this is the way he ensures to make more money. All this would be highly misleading for common person who would think that since users of this scheme are recommeding it so highly, it might be a good thing afterall.
Forget all the talk about inspirations leadership winning attitude self belief greater the risk greater the achievement blah blah. They might just be the promotional advertisements from some desperate stake holders. Use your own judgement and you may realise that the three star rating of this product is possibly an indicator of proportions of Goldquest Stakesholders from among those writng reviews on Goldquest.
I am not a member of this scheme. Nor do I know anyone who is. This review is not intended to discredit or promote this scheme. This is only to inform any future participant of this scheme about the risks in beleiving the information in reviews posted by reviewers who most probably have conflict of interest. The information in those reviews need to be seen in that persecpective. The people who might be thinking about getting into the scheme and trying to get some info about that might find this point of view useful to consider before getting swayed by all the positive reviews.
