I had no intention of watching this movie but since it had got very good ratings I decided to go for it. I must admit it was complete PAISA WASOOL. I could not keep my eyes off screen(except in some songs) coz the way the entire thing was depicted with such drama, background, sound scores was completely engrossing.
Plot - There is not too big a story here. It’s a simple plot of actors from enemy clans falling in love. Same has been tried and tested earlier. Though I thought the climax could have been different.
Acting - I am a big FAN of Ranveer Singh. I strongly believe he is complete HOLLYWOOD material. He acts, dances, looks well - complete perfect package. He has done wonderful acting, dancing, fighting in this movie. He has the uncanny ability to make audiences glue to his scenes. Deepika has done equally good job. I did not like her earlier but with Chennai Express I believe she has matured as an actor. Other actors like Supriya Pathak, Abhimanyu Singh etc. have done justice to their roles.
Verdict - The film is very colorful(visually enlightening). It has intense drama, intense gunshots being fired. It is definite watch coz a simple story has been presented in a perfect manner. Kids are not to be taken for this movie coz of violence and romance.
