You can’t say enough for this film...absolute classic in the genre of comedy...the film is worth a watch anytime and everytime...
I dont remember the first time I saw the film ( that should make it clear that it has been watched umpteen times:) ) but I could retain the humor after the film was over...which is very difficult...considering the fact that we are living in such stressful situations, a smile can actually do wonders to us...
The film cast is one of the best you could get in those times for a comedy flick...Utpal dutt, Amol Palekar, Deven etc...The way they acted out their roles is flawless...you can’t get it wrong anyways with a such a story line...!!! The film gradually moves and the humor is never missed...never on the top...subtle and to the point...trademark of a Hrishida’s film...
The songs are hummable and never sound or look out of place...infact that is the best point of films of those times...songs carried the story forward and were not excuse to relieve yourself or chat with someone next to you...
The film is worth a watch for people who like to laugh...I love to laugh and this film makes me laugh...and it is not sarcastic humor that I am talking about...how day to day situations can land us in trouble and finding humor in that trouble...is what the film is all about...
Makes sense...??? then do watch it...it has genuine retention powers...will make u smile all the way!!!
