Google app is already installed in almost every smartphone. Either you need it or not, it will be present in your phone.
The concept of Google Assistant(attached with Google App) is good but I didn’t find Google Now is useful for me.
It shows your news cards related with your interest or based on your search habits.
I do not like the design and layout of the app, it’s boring. Most of the time see the same news article all the time. I don’t see anything interesting. Google Assistant is nice and useful for asking questions and doing stuff like setting alarm, reminders, opening apps and all that.
The problem with the Google app is the voice feature, in spite of training it by your own voice, it responds to anyone who say, ’Ok Google’. The could be cause a serious problem who prefer to unlock their phones with their voice.
It requires almost all kind of permission to run in your phone, so be aware and use it carefully. No doubt it’s useful and need a lot more improvements.
