I have been to Gramin(Kormangla-Bangalore) just once. But I really liked it.
We selected one weekend evening to have dinner there. Although there was a big queue of people waiting to get a seat, but as we were just 2 ppl, so got a a place without any delays.
The Ambiance, presentation, crockery matched the name of the restaurant. Another aspect which corelated the name is there is no AC and as it is a low roofed area, there were no sealing fans also. You’ll have to manage with the small table fans mounted on the corners of the walls. So if you are in a mood to have ur lunch/dinner in a relaxed mood in somewhat hot climate, then this place might not satisfy you much.
We did not get to taste too many things as we were just two, but whatever we ordered was prepared well.
Firstly we ordered soup with some starter. To our amazement, the soup was served within 5 mins of placing the order. Pretty quick services I would say.
Same thing happened with the lime juice we ordered in the end. It seems they keep a stock of things which people generally order. It helps them to manage the crowd.
We had our dinner within 25 mins. Surprising enough.right?
The prices for food items are reasonable according to the other restaurants in bangalore. At first you might even feel that the prices are a’little’ too much. But once you gulp down your first nibble, you’ll feel satisfied.
They try to serve you as fast as possible as they have non-ending queues to tackle. If you go in a group, where a few are finished with their meals and the other is still in mood to relish the last few bites, still, everybody will be served with the lemon bowl. Now, everyone is not comfortable with finishing the meals with lemon bowl already in front of them- an indication for you to hurry up!
But in order to manage the crowd, I think they overlook this factor.
According to me if you wanna feed your hungry stomach with good food at the earliest, then this will be the best place for you, but in case you are looking for a smooth, romantic evening where you can sit with your partner and have some nice time staring at each other, then sorry.this is not the one for you.
