Hop eat and Leave

Hi Guys,

Some days ago I decided to meet a close and common friend over dinner and along with my wife we walked to Grasshoppers, which is at Vile Parle (W) from Vile Parle East, talking about many things as we dont get so much time to meet and spend time together ...It was a pleasant evening and the walk had aroused our hunger and we were ready to eat and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Luckily enough since it was not that late in the evening 830 or so the attendant offered us a six seater (for Just 3 People) next to the small waterfall that they have made in the restaurant. Since it was almost empty at that time he did not think twice, but infact was more than happy to show us to the place.

We decided to order some starters and there it all started. The most irritating thing that waiters do to you in such semi posh and semi sophisticated places is that they start pushing you to order things that you might not want to. I always love to try out things that I havent tasted before but when I realise that the waiter is trying to act like a Insurance agent ot the sales person who is bent upon selling you things that you might not fancy, It makes me go crazy. On the contrary if you ask him for recommendations he says everything on the list is exquisite and one of its kind..Thank you Sir!!! I might as well read the Menu Card.

Ok we decided to savour the food there and spend some quality time ther but then the crowd started pouring in and the chief got jittery, he was loosing business for three people as we were taking up a big table..Then the waiters started running up and down..asking us what we wanted to order and it felt as if we are running against the clock and had to finish our dinner in the next 15 mins... soon the Food break would be over and off starts the next class in School..

Since we were there to have good time we decided to ignore this and go at our pace, but that did not help we had to stop them and tell them that it was getting too fast and infact we could pack our food and leave and eat peacefully at home if they would like it.We left later almost paying 60% of what we expected we might order for..

Overall the Food was good, but I recommend you pack the food and eat at home..

I am not going there again..

Some hints: (If the owner reads this)

Try re-organising your staff so that they know who should sit where and just because you have more people coming in does not mean that those who are already inside can be ignored and are not worth your attention..or too much attention..
