The New Queen of suspense

Tess Gerritsen- When my friendly Book shop owner insisted that I try a new author, I tryied to judge the book by it’s cover, rather tried to judge by the Name of the author. Something didn’t rhyme in me when I read the name Tess Gerritsen and so I tried to dismiss the book off.

On major insistense from him I got the book The surgeon, the latest by Tess. The first few pages set me down for something that I always assumed I wouldn’t like. It had shades of medical autopsies, scenes from the operation theatre and the morgue. I thought I couldn’t digest that stuff but that coupled with all the trills and chills that Tess churned in the book made it a major page turner for me. So be prepared to lose your sleep if you plan to read it at night.

The surgeon over, I went back to try another one, this time it was an almost sequel type book o the Surgeon- the apprentice and oh my god! another sleepless night. it was even more pacy that the earlier one. So gripping that now I remembered all the characters by heart( the characters are the same in most Tess’s novels). I even knew half of the medical terms so well, they needn’t explain how an autopsy’s done.

The third one, Vanish, was the best of the lot. so if you’re a mystery book buff, go try a Tess Gerrtisen book and the sleeless night aside, the ride is going to be really thrilling and you bet your boots you’re going to run to get the next and the next one.
