From a Teen's perspective

This novel is very well written. This is a classic, but other’s will argue with me. I have to say that Dicken’s style of writing is hard to get adjusted to, but soon you forget all reality, and are completley sucked in. His writing style is like other’s, yet completley his own. I had to read this book for a school assignment, but soon after starting realized this book holds many life lessons in it. Pip is not the only thing to be focused on while analyzing the book. Identity, love, social classes, Symbolism, and Foreshadowing also play big roles in this book. While Pip endures hardships, others around him suffer silently along with him. Most people tend to feel closely drawn to Pip, though I feel myself drawn more to the the secondary charcaters like Joe, Jaggers, Miss Havishim, Estella...etc.... They have more of a mysterious feild surrounding them, while Pip is more of a cut and dry character. Dicken’s is a very famous writer, and talented!
