Living in a metropolitan city like Delhi has its own advantages. If hunger pangs are disturbing your peace of mind and you quickly want to make some delicious dish and want some quality raw material for that, you can always order them through frozen food outlets like Green Chick Chop. By the way, Green Chick Chop has a number of outlets in Delhi, however, the Vasant Kunj one does not offer admirable services to its customers.
The biggest issue with this outlet is the delivery time of the product. It usually takes more than an hour for the frozen food to get delivered to your home. In fact, last time I ordered some food items from here and I had to call them at least 3-4 times to remind them of my order. Adding to that, the call attendant does not seem to be particularly friendly either. Whoever picks the call is always in a hurry to finish it.
The shop itself does not smell good. I know that GCC offers non-veg frozen items and it is bound to have a distinctive smell to it. However, I have been to other food outlets that sell frozen non-veg items and they rarely smell bad. In fact, they smell good as they use freshener which GCC never does. Adding to that, the portion size of frozen items is definitely smaller than the other outlets. In fact, last time I visited the Republic of Chicken with my friend and I could clearly see that the Republic of Chicken offered larger pieces of frozen food items at approximately same prices to that of GCC. Even the pieces are cut with more uniformity at the other outlets.
Additionally, there is a lack of consistency in the flavor of the frozen food items here. Sometimes the quality is excellent and the other times it plunges dramatically. Overall, GCC at Vasant Kunj definitely has a good variety of frozen food items, however, they really need to improve their customer service and bring uniformity in the quality of their items.
