Ok so Groupon, formerly known as Crazeal, had an offer for TastyKhana.in. It was Pay Rs. 250 and Get Food worth 500. So, on December 25th I made the payment and bought the voucher. Everything went well, I could see the voucher on my account dashboard. It had a expiry date of 3rd Feb, 2013. Now, as I didn’t wish to buy any food at that time, I thought of using it next month on my mother’s birthday. Fast forward to 11th Jan, I logged in to TastyKhana.in, made the food selection and went to the payment page and entered the voucher code I received from Groupon. To my shock, it said "Coupon already used".
I tried getting in touch with the tastykhana customer service and they said the coupon was already used by someone from Bangalore. I’m from Thane, I have no clue how someone from Bangalore could have access the coupon. I raised a complaint with Groupon customer care in the hope that they will resolve the issue asap but they told me they will investigate and get back to me in 24 hours. Fine I said. In the meanwhile, the guys at TastyKhana were kind enough to give me a 200 rs off coupon so I could place my order.
Now, 3 days have passed but Groupon have yet to get back to me. I guess they weren’t satisfied by ripping off customers in other countries so they decided to land up in India. How would they miss any opportunity to scam customers in the Mecca of rip-offs. I didn’t want to write this review. I thought they would resolve my issue but after receiving no response from them I have to do this. They ripped me off Rs. 250 which isn’t much but I’d like to warn all users from dealing with them.
If any issue crops up, rest assured they will never try to resolve it. I’m wondering if there are here to build a business or make a quick buck and run away. Beware of this horrible site.
