The GMERS medical college at Ahmedabad is one of the GMERS branch. Other colleges are located at 6 other cities. This college was started 6 years back. This college is considered among the least interest of the students. There are various experiences from successful students and doctors which prove that the college is not as worthy as VS or BJ medical college of Ahmedabad.
The fees are 3.5 lacs a year. The hospital is situated on the highway, where the OPD of patients is not more than 500 a day. So it is considered to be very less. So the hospital and clinical experience is deprived to their students.
The college fees are very highly exaggerated. So the facilities are less, ACs are poorly working, the classrooms are smaller. The laboratories are not bad. But the tools and instruments are lesser. There is a constant deficit of the faculty in this college. The staff members required in Labs are very less.
The hostel facility is considered the worst, the dormitories are very small ans still there are 2 students per room. The schedule of clinics and studies is not managed.
There is no group or association who can host Annual cultural fest, so it is not worthy to study in such a college where the food availability at Canteen is worse, no hygiene is maintained. The students bring lunch from outside, which is a shame for the college.
