Gulabo Sitabo is as delicious as a Lucknowi Shami Kabab! From the beautiful duo of Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi comes another masterpiece that is as fresh and vibrant as morning dew on grass. It’s a delight to watch Amitabh Bachchan pull off something like this, and the role was tailor made for him same as the kurtas he wears in the movie. The Awadhi mannerisms, the language, the stares everything is spot on! His glasses, his slouch, the way he walks and of course, his nose????. It’s a critically nuanced performance from the veteran actor and scene after scene you are left for asking more. The movie reaffirms the name. Bachchan Amitabh! Ayushmann Khurrana’s slight lisp adds to the flavor and he shows us yet again why choosing the right stuff is so much important. A special mention to Srishti Shrivastava, who is tasty and alluring as anything as Guddo.
