Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the only airport of the entire north-east with’INTERNATIONAL’ tag attached to it. The current terminal needs urgent revamp. The number of check-in counters is very inadequate. The waiting area for passengers gets crowded. No good options to dine inside the terminal. Although there’s a food court featuring KFC among others located just opposite to terminal. The bathrooms are clean. Although new terminal will be functional by 2020, Airport Authorities of India should improve the quality of services. For eg- More check-in counters, more conveyer belts at arrivals, etc.
