people are really rude
30mins away from anything
10mins away from a beach that is so dirty that the locals use it as a toilet
the food outlets charge 20 times( no exergeration) the actual price and have a menu especially for non locals - amount see below for details
extreamly boring place unless you want to see 50 churches with the same thing inside
really rude people that just want to ripe you off - deserves two mentions
poverty is like any 3rd world
the place stinks of sewage
visa’s to get into the country are a rip off also
save your time and money and see Australia - most beautiful beaches in the world and better more freindly place every where.
Well the Hathi Mahal its not a 5 star gold crown at all - the photos are not what the hotel looks like - in actual fact the photos ont eh website are over 10 yrs old - they dont hae hot water on tap you have to turn on the hot water heater and wait for up to 1 hr - the hotel staff at reception are very rude hte only nice ones are the aprectices. They hotel has a deal with the cab drivers out the front of the hotel and they charge you double what you are suppsed to pay and give the hotel their cut. We got a cabbie from outside of the area to come and the cabbies blocked the car so we couldnt get out, well my husband and I got out of the cab and started to rip into the gang leader and made him move out of the way. we would not have done this if the cabs out the front charges the right prices eg: to get into anywhere you have to get a cab - normally 200 rup to get to town costs you 450 one way!. now thats a rort. I went to buy a birthday card and they are suppsed to cost 4 and 3 rup and one guy wanted to charge me 60rup!.now thats massive inflation if I have ever seen it -
The hotel makes you pay for everything from 150 per 15mins for internet and even you have to pay fro the use of the pool table!. screw the place -
its so bad that I have contacted the CEO of RCI international to advise him and they dont deserve the gold crown or even to be in the RCi chain.
Australia is better for parties on the beach and fun.
