I have been having dry hair and hair loss problems for god only knows how many years. Got fed up of my dry hair and trying all oils like coconut oil and til oil and even mustard oil in the hair. Nothing made any difference. Then I tried various shampoos, conditioners and finally stopped then once I started losing hair in bunches.
The hair loss drove me into consulting the famous trichologist Dr Shahid Shamsher at Malleswaram and he told one thing very clearly - the hair fall will come down if you stop experimenting with your hair, and there is no cure for dry hair. If you want go and meet a good hair stylist and he will tell you how to style your hair better. So I went to habibs for getting a new hair style. And finally here I got a solution to my dry hair problem.
There was a guy called Saleem who treated me there and he told me to totally change my hair style and give it a rough look. He said your problem is that you have dry hair, but all the time you are trying to set your hair flat and that is not possible with dry hair, unless you apply lots of gel and lotion and then set it. Otherwise we should allow the hair to have rough look, which is as per the nature of hair, which is dry.
First I thought I am going to look like I have not combed my hair in the morning and my boss with throw me out if I look like that in the bank, but he told, it will not be like that and so I allowed him to proceed with the hair cut. After 1/2 hr, the results are very good. I asked myself why I did not think of this before and I would saved myself so my waste of time in using gels and shampoos and in fact ended up losing more hair after that. Now he has given me a look which is natural as per my hair nature which is dry. But at the same time it looks neat as well, it does not look like I have not combed it. In fact in the office many people remarked I now look even more better than before. So sometimes the better thing to do is to accept your hair as it is, then try to change it too much.
