I was not much interested in reading books but when my friend suggested it, I thought of giving a try and yes I started and finished in just 2 days.
I really enjoyed reading this book, It creates curiosity at every page about what next and its the most ever best love story I have came across in spite of reading 10-15 other love stories.
The story is based on Madhav Jha who is a bihari comes from a rural village and gets admission in best college of Delhi.He was a basketball district player so he was just watching a basketball match at the college and at that time he was fascinated by a girl called Riya Somani. she was tall and beautiful. He was just flattered by her first appearance and was impressed by her looks. While playing when ball accidently came to madhav jha, riya first saw him and asked for the ball. Later one day when he was in the court, Riya somani asked for a match with him as he was also a basketball player and yes that was their first meet, with this they became friends.
Days passed and they were now good friends and started spending lot of time along with them. Their friendship was now known to everyone and some were jealous of him, slowly time passed and now madhav wanted a relationship with her but riya first didn’t said anything but later she accepted that she can’t be her girlfriend instead she can be her HALF GIRLFRIEND which literally means a relationship more than a friend but less than a girlfriend. Madhav anyhow didn’t want her to be her half girlfriend.
One day riya invited madhav to her party at her home when madhav came he saw a boy Rohit with her and he was a future husband, looking this he was self-broken, rohit was handsome and smart and looking professional but madhav was a local boy so he just left the party.
Once madhav made riya to visit him at the hostel and there madhav tried to force him to like him marry him, riya rejected him and left in anger and next day riya went with rohit and married him.
Madhav returned to his village and everything went on normal but he was just thinking about riya still everytime and everywhere. One day he saw riya in a hotel and then he came to know that she was staying in his neighbouring city and he met riya, riya felt much happy after meeting him and they had talks for long time. Riya had divorced with rohit due to some misunderstandings and now she is staying alone and working for some corporate. Riya said her dream is to be a SINGER in a bar in new york and now she will do that. Madhav made riya to visit his village and they spent some time along with each other.
One day when madhav went to meet riya, he found that riya was missing. When talking with the land broker he said that she had left the home permanently, but madhav wanted her badly so he visited her house in delhi but her mom said that she had never visited her parents from past 2-3 years. Madhav tried to find her everywhere possible but days gone but still madhav never traced her. Madhav remebered her dream of being a local bar singer at new york. So he thought that she may have gone there.
The other day madhav brought passport and left for US. After reaching there madhav started to find her in every bar but he never found a person named Riya. He felt bad even spending many days and not finding her. He was losing confidence and hope. After many days still not finding her, he decided to leave US and forget her, he thought he lost her.
The day he was leaving for India, a message flashed in his phone about jazz music fest and he saw a brochure, ‘123 performers. 25 venues. 3 days. 1 city, ’ it said on the booklet cover. when checking the names of the performers he came across a name called RAY. Her details were like riya only. He called the cafe wha for the performer time, due to shortage of time he gone running in every streets due to more icefall cabs were not running. So he stepped out and ran for his life, anyhow he reached on time and going along the crowd, he finally saw the sparkling singer, beautiful lady, soulful voice and she was Riya Somani only. He felt heart sanked that he finally found her, when riya saw him she just stopped singing and was surprised and also emotional. Finally they met and returned and married and lived a happy life together.
The story was much enjoyable and interesting at every moment. If you like reading love-story then I would suggest you to give it a try.
