Now, for those who don’t know. Half Girlfriend is a novel written by the best selling Indian Author- CHETAN BHAGAT. So, I had to read it. & as soon as I opened the first page of the brand new chetan bhagat book, Half Girlfriend which had a very stupid teaser when the book was announced.
Throughout this book, Bhagat emphasises you with the careful description of various things. Here also the same path is being followed which followed in 2 states or five points someone. That is, the relationship of boy- girl.
But the characters here are built in typical Chetan Bhagat heroine gene & this novel doesn’t even have those awwww moments. There are typical scenes like when the girlfriend is reading and sun is on her, so you stand and block the sun.
Talking about the dialogues, the dialogues are so unengaging. Every other dialogue is followed by a meaning. Its like, the dialogues emphasis so much that they are felt like someone is throwing dialogues at your face, like see. he is hurt now. he is sad now.
This book is surely not written as the best of Chetan, so if you have to read the book. try to read it for at least 2 hours. Don’t pause and start thinking what is happening, read it continuously, then only you will enjoy it.
