Halla Bol is a very good ATTEMPT to make a really GREAT MOVIE but? Story is really good... Its basically about What to do if something wrong has happened in front of your Eyes? You will keep your mouth Shut to save you and your family or you will fight against?
STORY: Samir Khan/ Ashfaq Ulla (Ajay Devgan) is a small town middle class boy with really BIG dreams to be a superstar in Bollywood and he succeed! Then he marry his childhood sweetheart but as he gets more success. He started changing and looses all his relation one by one in a dramatic matter!
Things changes when he became eyewitness of a murder case(Somewhat Jesica Lal Murder case)..... First he Denys then accept and try to fight.He loses everything but get back all his relations and then a happy ending!
WHAT’s GOOD: Subject no matter very good, Movie shows that if anybody decides to fight against Wrong he or she has to face problems, Doesn’t matter he is a superstar.Performance of pankaj kapoor is more than Excellent. Songs are also good. Ajay Devgan gains the sympathy of audience.Dialogs are good.
WHAT’s BAD: The biggest problem is that Movie is not able to ENTERTAIN.... Its boring in some parts specially that Tushar Kapoor and Ajay Devgan scene.... You feel like leaving the movie. I strongly object that why the director has not involved Vidya Balan in the FIGHT against system. You cannot ignore half the population for awaking the nation. She has only one good dialoge in the movie.
Halla Bol - 2 spoon Rang De Basanti, 3 spoon Jesica Lal Murder Case, 1/2 spoon Good Music and lots of Pankaj Kapoor = An OK movie...... which could have the BEST!
Rajkumar Santoshi and Ajay Devgan after Lajja, The Legend Bhagat Singh, Khakee.... All good Movies but FLOP!
So..... In my opinion, Its not going to WORK!
