We have seen Mohan lals films of 80s and 90s and we cherish that sweet memories.Hello, in a sense is a real outing to those era of Lals ever springing film career.I will tell you what happened to me when I went to the movie hall to watch this cinema.I went with no expectation because nowadays keralites are not expecting anything from any film. The only prayer of mine was "they rafi-mec team] shouldnt have waste lalettan, daivame......"......But as a miracle, what I ve seen in the screen is 90s Lalettan. The energetic, young, humourous, romantic, extra smart lalettan with all his virtues."Hello" eventually end up as a roller coaster ride of comedy....and everyone in the theater left it with very much pleased face......
The premise of this film is based on one character which is of Lalettans.Thats sivaraaman, the 24*7drunkard advocate who never use to go to the court.Naturally, Mohan lal is the best when it comes to a drunkard role....he spins non-stop comedy........with jagathy sreekumar.....and the invention of this film is actress Parvathi milton who is now called with love by us, Paarukutti.."....She is beautiful and can act and match with lalettan, very well....She has featured in a ad film of malabar gold directed by priyadarshan. She acted in a few telugu movies too..She plays a character of a nice girl from a rich north indian famliy.....
Parvathis character gets kidnapped and the goondas locks her in a room and she is trying to reach out by dialing some number , desperately for help. That number happened to me Mohanlals.Lal helps her to find out the mysteries happens in her house...thats the plot line...But Humour is the USP of this film not the plot.....
When parvathi gets kidnapped, she tells to lal that they kept her near some bar..Lal asks which bar, whats the sign post....she tells...there is a blue bord...Lal asks again..."oh...a pic of a hen is there....and a blue boardd...?..oh..paradise baaaar......"...Hmmmm......
Music was okay, one song parvathi and her family members sing "kumgurubaak meera kathole.."is the best song......then a "somewhat local number "is there in the form of "kadukittu varutha...", then one more good song is there.."mazhavillin neelima kannil...in which lal dances beautifully...."
The most plus point of this film Lal with his energetic youthfulness, The most brilliant scene which rocked the theatre was the scene with ashokan. The expression which comes in lals face in that scene is nothing but "special". Lal : "Ennaa para..ente perenthaa....para.... Ashokan:..."Nee saabu alledaa..., , , , , , Lal: "oh....ennaalum neeyangu manassilaakki kalanjallo......?." Lals facial expression makes a roaring laugh in the theatre...best finishing of a comic scene of the year............
So anyway....Its a must see movie for Lal fans and Family audience too...especially kids.....cheers with "hello"...............
