This poem is dedicated to all those who ever think of ending life.
I wrote this poem two years back, when one of my relatives told me on phone that she wish to end her life because her live-in lover ditched and dumped her after two abortions. I said it was your decision to live with him without marrying. Now it’s your turn to stand up and trash him out of your life. Show him that you can do wonders alone. I told her to think about those who love you and are concerned about you.
This poem inspired her and she avoided her depression.
I am not a poet but this is an effort to say in brief what I feel about suicide:
Say No to Suicide!
I am shaken that you wish to die
Have you wondered.
You should not end your life and Why?
Your thoughts must be racing and
Emotions probably in turmoil,
You probably have many questions
Have some fears
But however never say that you wish to die!
I know, you suffer a sense of losses-
Loss of a person you know such dearly
Of the future YOU planned
Or of the relationships once enjoyed
You might be confused, and angered
If you wish to get out
Try to relieve your burden
Never keep negative reactions to yourself
Tap into your faith, Get involved with life
Take care of yourself
Give yourself time to absorb your loss
It is your life
Say No to Suicide!
