It is hard to handle

Depression can run from a mild case to one that is extremely difficult to deal with. If you haven’t been through it, it can be very hard to understand.

Everyone goes through some kind of slight depression here and there. Perhaps you have had a streak of bad luck and you feel down about it. This type of depression usually will go away as things improve.

Then there is the kind of depression where all you want to do is sleep. You don’t care if you get up or if you do get up you may find that you are just sitting around staring off in space. It drags you down and makes you feel very tired and you may go through times of crying, where nothing will cheer you up.

It is hard for others to understand and they may do things to try and cheer you up and it may work for a short period of time. If they don’t understand, don’t blame them as they are only trying to help.

You may lose your appetite or you may over eat. There are many things that can happen when you are depressed.

There are medications out there to help and seeing a therapist is a must because prolonged depression can be very dangerous.

I urge you if you are feeling depressed for a long period of time or are having any of the symptoms to seek help. I have been through this and if anyone needs to talk I am an e-mail away.

UPDATE: I am going through a depression again unlike any other. I get so tired even walking to get a drink wears me out and the headaches that go with it are so bad it feels like your head is going to fall off and am now back in therapy. Make sure you find a good therapist if you need one because some do not get to the root of the depression and just want to keep you doped up and it will not help for very long. Take it from one who knows.
