Ahhhhhhhh.i am stressed out.a common statement that we utter day to day in our lives. but do we know the implications of it? Usually we tend to use the word stress instead of tiring out, but we often forget that if our body, especially our mind, is under stress continuously, for a long period of time, it may cause a great deal of harm to our system. Many heart diseases are consequences of prolonged stress.
Nowadays you can see many students experiencing stress very early in their life. Studies have become difficult. One of my neighbours was preparing for economics and was very bad at the subject. She was under a great deal of pressure before the day of the exam and broke down before the exam. She was very good at arts and drawing and painting and all her paintings used to be sold at thousands of rupees. But her parents did not let her take up that field. My advice to all the students out there is that decide your core competencies before hand and please dont take the subjects you are not good at. Ultimately, you will always do well in the subject you are interested in and if you lose interest in something or are not good at it, it will create a lot of pressure on you eventually and that will maybe have harsh effects on your health too tomorrow.
Another trend I see in the girls mostly these days(speaking from a short span of personal experience) is that there is a lot of pressure on the girls today to lose weight and look like models. Strictly speaking, to be practically anorexic. I too went through this phase in my life where its difficult to accept your own body build. Dont misunderstand me. I am not telling you to be over weight.All I am telling you is to be healthy and to lead a normal life. It took me a long time to realise that.a very long long time and I know there are a lot many girls out there who lead their life in stress each day, feeling guilty over each bite they eat. Please stop eat. This will kill you. One way or the other. So stop it.
Also, another thing is that always be honest to yourself.if you are feeling down, accept it.Tell your loved ones, your wife, your parents, anyone, maybe they cant help, but there is no harm in telling. let someone know atleast. But dont lie that everything is ok.
Nowadays, people have been seen to have had heart attacks at 24 due to stress. Please dont let it happen to you. Small precautions and you will be fine. God bless!
