I recently got the HandSpring Visor Deluxe as a Birthday gift. At first, I did not believe in handhelp Pcs. I thought they were just another place to waste money, another useless gadget.
So I never planned to spend $200 on this particuliar instrument. To my surprise, I got it as a gift from one of my friends. HandSpring Visor Deluxeis an awesome piece of equipment. With standard 8mb of memory, you have LOTS ofspace to add phone numbers and daily appointments. You also get the Palm Desktop Softwarealong with it through which you can update your schedules and addresses on the computer and then SYNC it to your palm using the USB Cablewhich is included in the accessories.
The standard installed softwares include Address Book, ThingsToDo, Memo, WorldTime, Daily Scheduler, Expenses
Besides the software already installed, I downloaded AvantGo from https://avantgo.com/.
This particuliar software lets me sync several websites onto my Palm daily. It has a lot of sites to sync from, my favourites being CNN.com and Washingpost.com. It also SYNCS my yahoo.com with all the happenings in my area. So I virtually have news all around the world for the day in my PDA.Whenever I SYNC my palm, it automatically updates the content.
All Visor Handhelds come with a SpringBoard module which you can use to add additional accessories such as Mp3 players, cell phones etc. A mini booklet is included in the box which gives you the details of each accessory. You can also check them out on their website.
The only thing I would like in this pda would be a rechargeable battery.It currently comes with 2AAA batteries which would last probably 1-2 months depending on how much you use your palm.
What I thought as an exceptional feature was, that when I started my palm, a group photo with me and my friends popped up.
Said ’’Dont forget Us!’’.
It was using the software FireViewer for teh palm, and I think I fell in love with the Palm Right then.
Go ahead, buy a PDA, Visor Deluxe if possible. They also have a limited time $50 rebate promotion.
