Just like majority of
product or services sold in India, Pro Handyman made a lot of tall claims and
big promises at the time of selling the service. Few of the promised things
were: 1. Quick response time - a technician would visit within 4 hours(max) to
attend to the complaint. 2. Coverage of major breakdown - any charge above 500
would not be borne by me, but by the company. 3. Technicians visiting would
always be dressed in company overalls and would be fluent in english/ hindi.
The representative who came at my residence to do the sales pitch even gave me
his mobile number to reach him if I ever have any problem. I even gave him a
few references who also eneded up taking the service. The service, in the
beginning, was quite acceptable. But then, the downfall started. In the past
few months, the person has never turned up on the same day. It is invariably
about 12-16 hours before the complaint is attended to. Recently, an electrical
fitting at my residence was to be replaced. The bill amount was 650 and when I
told that I do not need to pay more than 500, the person told me electrical
appliances are not covered. I later checked in the booklet and it is indeed
covered. This is straight away cheating! And of course, none of the
technicians visiting are ever dressed in company overalls and are never able to
converse in hindi/ english. I tried to reach the mobile number of that sales
rep and it has disabled all incoming calls. All in all, I am very very
dissatisfied and would not recommend this to anyone
