Here is another movie for Indian Children. Two years back Hanuman already captured our hearts.
The first Hanuman was a mythological movie showing whatever is there in Ramayana. New movie can’t be said a sequel to it. Instead, this is a complete fiction. This time he does incarnation in Kaliyug, let’s see where new movie stands compared to original Hanuman.
Story:
Once upon a time there was a huge battle between Dev and Danavs. In the end, Danavas has to go to Planet Sukra(Venus) along with their guru Shukracharya. Shukracharya has a magical wand called Sarpdansha using which he can make dead danvas alive.
Devs are’busy’ in their swarglok. Technology has crossed boundaries of earth and even non-mortal devs have become techno-geeks. They use to converge in Hinglish.
Hanuman sees a village boy who is bullied by local hooligans. He decides to help him but for that he has to take birth like normal human. He decides to do so with some conditional understanding with Brahma. He appears on this earth like a normal child(with a cute tail) but he is growing really faster. He takes admission in school at the age of 3(not years, months). He teaches a lesson to local hooligans, gabbarshing and his gang.
On planet shukra there is a fight between danavs and accidently that sarpdansh comes to earth. Now danavs are also on earth to search it and they have to face Hanuman.
Pluses:
Cute Hanuman is the biggest plus point. Last time also they created child hanuman who was so cute, this Hanuman is even cutier in shirt-pant with small tail. I just can’t resist the invitation by this Hanuman from the poster.
This Hanuman is also very naughty so that angle of Hanuman’s character is very much there throughout the movie. This will prove the trump card to attract younger audience.
Animation is average according to Indian standards. The movie has modern touch. It has special effects, gabbaar singh, sholey, himeshbhai etc in a spoofed manner. Pre-interval portion of the movie is very entertaining.
Length of the movie is adequate. The movie has a message but it has not passed on convincingly.
Minuses:
This movie is a fictional. So writers have very good opportunity to make a complete entertainer. They are partly successful in pre-interval portion but in post-interval portion they loose the grip. Writers to blame totally.
Music of this Hanuman is also catchy, but not as good as the previous one.
Script is the culprit here. Movie has all the potential to become major hit but writers could not take full use of the opportunity and this becomes just another movie.
My View:
This movie is mainly for children. They will definately like this movie. Even adults with child inside them, can enjoy this movie. But this movie can’t become a major hit.
I guess one can wait for a dvd this time.
P.S. - I saw a trailer of movie’Super Star’(Kunal khemu in double role) and it’s very promising.
