As this movie is from Anand L. Rai, I had high hopes for the movie and Tanu Weds Manu and TWMR are among my most favorite movies. But Happy Bhag Jayegi is not definitely a heart breaker.
There is list of things I didn’t like about the movie
The movie is really illogical. A girl runs away from her marriage and jumps into a wrong truck(Acceptable) but that truck goes to the Pakistan just on the basis driver of the truck says the check post not to conduct any checking - Really? Big cliche.
Jimmy Shergill is a just a normal politician not even an MP but still he has contacts in Pakistan and they do work for him and treat him as the boss - Another cliche.
Diana Penty doesn’t want to be deported to India without getting married and Abhay Deol falls in love with her for the same reason. - Can any sensible man do that?
There are many other flaws in the story and I didn’t find it at all entertaining. The acting of Diana Penty is really poor. Again, I was her fan in Cocktail and she managed to disappoint me just like Anand L. Rai.
I liked all the three guys and Momal Sheikh. Just for them, I could complete watching the movie.
