Balle Balle Boy!!!!!

Paaji tusi ggaraet ho! Well, that’s an encore and not a solitary voice. Right guys! OK, so we’ve found a cricketing genius who may be next seen doing the amusing commercials for Dominos. Hungry Kya!

It is the hunger exuded by this stylish sardar for scalping victims, which leaves one totally dazed. The energy level is extremely high. The aggression is an able foil for the pressure tactics employed by the Aussies oh-so-effectively. He not only maintains the eye contact, he can actually make those eyes look piercingly fierce.

Now, cricket is an aggressive game. And one area we were constantly put on the back-foot was the epithet of Nice-Guys. Winning is what matters. And the body language, eye contacts, talking back hard and a cool temperament make a lot of difference.

Bajji (As he is fondly called) has made sure to incorporate all these assets other being hugely talented. It is smashing to see him throw those nasty comments to bulky Kangaroos. Wonder what the Aussies make of his smart punjabi diction. As if they understand it. And the fact that they can’t make a head or tail of what he is saying makes it even more interesting.

India has won the Pepsi series. But, I don’t consider it as a team effort. It is a handiwork of a few gutsy cricketers who were much more focussed than the rest of the guys. Harbhajan is one of them. Just imagine, this 20 year old has taken 64% of the Australian wickets to have fallen during the Border-Gavaskar Test Series. It is a sad commentary on the other bowlers who had hardly any tricks up their sleaves.

Harbhajan Singh is the Ultimate find of this series other than Laxman. Now, the real test starts for he must take all this accolade into his stride and remain focussed on his game. For the cricket crazy fans of this country make you a God once you are a hit. But the same public gives you a total miss once you run out of ideas. Ask Ganguly on that one!

As of now, Indian cricket is on a high. And Bajji Bhai I wish you all the luck in the world. Here’s hoping you maintain the same form for years to come.

Well Done India. All the best for the one days. As for you Aussies, thanks for brilliant entertainment anyway.....
