I had purchased a 5.1 home theater speaker system from Harman, in 2015. At the time, Harman was an independent company, not taken over by Samsung. The product 5.1 home theater speaker system is very good in performance, however talk about life - I am now doubtful. After having bought the product only in 2015, the subwoofer stopped working in March 2019.
A product that was worth 50, 000.00 INR in 2015, stops working in just 4 years!
When I reached out to the authorised service centre, they were quick to pick up the subwoofer from my residence for servicing. However ever since, they have claimed that parts are not available. Many a times, they have also tried to tell me that the product is discontinued by the company and hence they do not have parts. When I check the company website, they are actually selling the same product. I wonder why they are saying that the product is discontinued. This amounts to cheating.
In 4 years, a product becomes obsolete, and non serviceable? a product worth 50, 000 when other products in the martket are available for much cheaper price! A premium brand such as this should also extend premium servicing options.
But no, not Harman. Their customer care has been careless. The service center guys dont even pick their phones. The call center guys pick their phones, but always ask for more time. Sir, please wait for 10 days. You call after 10 days, and next time they saySir wait for another 15 days. I have ben calling them since early June 2019, after giving my subwoofer to the service center in mid May.
I am utterly frustrated with this company. They are not able to repair my subwoofer, and because of that, my entire home theater system is a waste. It also spoils my entire setup at home.
A very pathetic company, I must say.
