The Last Installment

So finally it ends. The culmination of the biggest media exercise in publishing history. The last book of the series Harry Potter - Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. The Best and the longest book. Harry turns 17 and gets the license to use magic outside the school.

The Trio begins their actual hunt for the Horcruxes. In the first half The Trio play hide and seek with the Ministry Of Magic.

Relationships come together and the secrets come out of the closet. However, they take their own sweet time doing so. The real action does not start until half the book is over, and at 600 odd pages, half counts a loyt. So you have to trudge through Harry’s omnipresent angst, Ron’s Frustration and Hermione’s insecurities, till you actually come to know What Deathly Hallows is all about. The skull headedness of this trio starts getting developed as the reader gets involved

Nonetheless the second half manages to salvage the book. It is vintage Rowling doing what she does best. It is what the book had always about. The big fight and the events leading up to it. So the everyone who survived comes joins the party to witness if light prevails over darkness.

Her descriptions are lucid enough to play out motion picture scenes in my head. Such is the power of the writer and a great thinker as well.

I would say that If you have read the past six books then you have to read this or you’ll be going crazy about what’s the end all about. So doesn’t matter how long the book is or how costlier it is. It’s better to give a chance.
