Disclaimer: I am not a HP maniac, reading all that follows may be damaging to the reader incase he/she is an ardent HP freak.
Now, its a very simple fact that I am trying to express here, full justice cant be done to a book when it is transformed to the celluloid version. And I guess all of you out that agree with me.
The movie is for those who have read the book. If I were to walk to the theatre like my HP illiterate mom, I am sure I would have experienced the time of life but without making any sense of it, for the only reason that the movie lacked coherence.
i can equate my expeirnce of watching the movie to a travel in the Knight bus(when it squeezes between two buses)
Thats for the movie in general.
The Pensive Headmaster
He for some reason seemed to confuse emotions, catching hold of Harry by the collar when his name appears out of the Goblet was not the way I visualized it when I read the book!
The Fourteen something Harry
Dan, has made effort to act in HPGOF. Nonetheless he reminded me of the baadshah of Bollywood with the mallika of Hogwarts(Moaning Myrtle).
Ruddy Ron
Rupert Grint has maintained her performance standars, and has shown a variety of emotions just as was warranted of him.
Beauty-Herm
She looks extraordinary, but not much of movie time was dedicated to her but for the Yule ball.
Amiss
Bagman, Blast ended skrewts, Bill, Charlie, Snape, Barty Crouch Jr. and Sr., SPEW, Dobby, Winky....
The Triwizard Champions
Cedric, proved to be the most eligible Triwizard Champion, but looked plastic nontheless.
And the Beast-Krum, was nothing more than a poor man’s Sunil Shetty.
Fleur, had her wand in the right place but she lacked the decisive look on her.
Visula Treat: A must watch, for the graphics that left sitting on the edge of my chair. The visuals provide respite from the story line and other areas where the movie lacks. The only reason I sustained myself through the movie is for the visuals.
The BEST: The Dark Lord’s re-birtrh. This is one sequence that sums up the talent to the graphic creators. He looked as much close to a snake as possible, those red, bloodshot eyes, slits for nostrils and a dry pair of lips.... looked anything but good.
