Harry Potter and Half-Baked Movie

Now I have read the books and am a big fan of JK rowlings magical world of Harry Potter, but believe me guys, this movie is disappointing.

The trailers deceived me into believing that its going to be a spectacular ride, but somehow the movie did not manage to live up to its high expectations.

The visuals were superb no doubt about it, but the overall flow of the movie(which should have been so crisp and to the point) was so draggy and unnecessary that it made me pull my hair in agony.

There is too much emphasis on the ‘love-struck’ trio and the movie ends up being a sort of Bollywood Love triangle(minus the songs). The scenes could easily have been chopped off.

It seems the director gave too much importance to the pumping hormones of the characters over the Half-Blood Prince itself. The character building is very weak which the plus point of the 6th book and deviates from the entire plot of the book.

Some scenes like the one where Dumbledore and Harry enter the cave saves the grace and is spectacular. Acting for most part is also good, but I feel there should have been more of Snape and Voldemort too.

Overall the movie lacks all the essential elements which made the ‘Half-blood Prince’ book a classic and leaves you with the same old answer – “Adapted movies suck”
