Great addition to the Harry Potter series!!

Harry Potter deals with a lot of confusion and problems in this addition to the Harry Potter series. Harry is facing being expelled from Hogwarts, has girl trouble, has problems with Dumbledore, isn’t made a prefect, wonders what happened to Hagrid, gives secret Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons at the risk of being expelled, misses Sirius, is having horrible nightmares through the eyes of Voldemort, is having to take private Occlumency lessons from Snape, hates his new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher (and the feeling is mutual)...well I won’t give away every detail in the book, but those are just some of the problems Harry faces in this adventure. If the reader isn’t careful to follow along, he or she will be easily lost. The only problem I had with this book is the fact that it had been so long since I had read the other four and had had to wait so long for number five that when references were made in #5 to things described in the other books, I was completely lost. Rowling didn’t go to any trouble to describe some of the objects or situations she brought back in #5 that had been already described in the other books. So a few times I was really lost, but mostly I was able to follow the events without trouble.

I thought Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a great addition to the Harry Potter series. I could hardly put the book down...I laughed and actually cried at the end.

I have heard that J.K. Rowling has made a comment about Harry not surviving through book 7. I don’t think she could kill off a character so many children see themselves in. If anything, I think Harry will choose to give up his wizarding powers and become a Muggle. With all the problems he faces in this book (and in books to come, without a doubt), I don’t see how he could stand being a wizard any longer! But then again, I might be totally wrong on that one. Who knows, I guess in time we’ll find out!
