If you use Hathway ONLY for checking personal emails then Hathway might be okay for you. If you use internet service for like 15-20 mins in 2-3 days then Hathway might be good.
Otherwise, if you pay your bills online, do study courses online, do good amount of work online, shop online and then their service is very poor. There is no reliability at all. I have paid for unlimited download plan with a pretty decent speed. Still, I dont get proper service.
Even in a city like Mumbai, any time their internet will go down and wont be back up soon. So then you will have make multiple long telephone calls and all to the customer care and then they will give a complaint number. They take around 24-48 hours to restore internet. So basically, you wont have internet for 24-48 hours. So all your work is stuck. Then slowly, they will take their own sweet time and rectify things. Then things will work for a few days. Then again, after a few days, same story. Connection down! Everything repeats.
This company doesn’t really care of customer satisfaction. I also work in a technical field. We spend nights awake and do all maintenance work at very late in the night so that customers are not put to inconvenience. Hathway does all maintenance during the day putting maximum customers to inconvenience. They don’t really care about their customers. During such down times, even their customer care numbers will be busy permanently.
Oh and it is a very common thing to call the customer care and hear " our systems are down, please call again later". Another thing is that this company has upgrades happening every alternate day. So they expect you to pay for the service but they cant provide you the service because they are upgrading their system. So basically, it more like giving donations.
Some years before, they used to have very good service but now they just keep launching new things, take money but don’t know how to manage even the simple things.
