A really good book for kids .
Though its start with a normal life of a kid but afterwards it gets scary when the mask starts to stick on the boys face which seemed to be like that stuck on his face for life .
The scary part is when he puts on the mask as a costume for halloween but then the mask starts to be sort of real skin and after he wears it he starts to feel really like old man bent with age and begins to shiver like an old man but when he tries to remove it he realizes that it wont come out he moans like an old man and tries to figure a solution to this problem.
Then he thinks about his friend Carly Beth who suffered from the same situation once and removed the mask from herself then Billy seeks the help of her but when he rings her up her father picks up the phone fails to recognize him because of his old voice then he rings her up again this she picks up the phone the he make her believe him that he is Billy and not an old man .
At the end of the story he is freed of this nightmare with the mask of the old man.
this book is a must read for those who love goosebumps series .
