Recently I visited Andaman and Nicobar islands. When in Port Blair I kept hearing about this place and decided to go there. Unnecessarily wasted my 4 days in Port Blair. You have to take the ferry from Port Blair which will cost you Rs.450/- around if you go by govt. ferry and if you choose private cruise they will charge you Rs.900/- around. It takes around 2 hrs to reach to this island. See the picture I have attached to this review.and it would be enough for you to understand what heaven I am talking about. This totally isolated island is around 40 sq.km only.
You are totally away from the world and middle of the sea. Perfectttttttt place for honeymoon or I would say best place to go with your girlfriend. Plan 10 days trip. Spend at least 6 days on havelock to understand the global culture of the island. Mostly foreigners visit here.60% from Israel. Bit expensive to stay but worth every single penny spent. Deserted beaches are so calm and beautiful.
Crystal clear blue sea water. I would suggest instead of renting a hotel.rent a hut.that would be economical and a good experience also. Not so many hotels to choose from.but once you are at this place you won’t care about food. Go to kala patthar beach on bike.rent a bike at Rs.250/- carry your driving licence.so that you can roam around. You can also rent cycle at Rs.50/- Don’t go shopping.nothing unique.you will get the same things at Port Blair at cheaper cost. People are most of them speak Hindi and Bengali so communication is not a problem. I can recommend one hotel which is calm and peaceful that is Coconut Groves. Ask for Moru.this guy will help you in every aspect of your stay. Genuine guys at this hotel.
One beach called Radhe nagari is also nice one but not great. Kala patthar is the best according tome. You can do scuba diving at around Rs.2500/- negotiate they lower down. Fat martin’s the good joint to eat continental and Indian dishes. OMG.i want to go there, built a hous and stay there forever! If you miss this one.you miss something really worth:) Best time is before December 25 and after October 15th. After December 25 the rents of the hotels and everything will rise heavily. So, plan accordingly.
