Haya Aur Paak Daamani – Ornament Of Women.

Haya Aur Paak Daamani – Ornament Of Women.

Haya aur Paak Daamani (Modesty & Virtuous) is an Urdu book written by Moulana Peer Zulfaqer Ahmed & published by Saqib Book House. Unfortunately this 360 pages book is not translated in English or any other Indian language.

There are no parameters to define the sweetness in the language. But personally Urdu is one of the most polite, humble and sweet language in the world. Urdu belongs not to a particular religion or region. But unfortunately it is now mostly preserved in a particular community and is generally neglected.

Anyone wondered about why the women covered from head to toe? We only know that they are Muslim women in burqa, (a piece of clothing that covers a woman from head to foot) but do we know anything beyond that?

Haya aur Paak Daamani is one of the most beautiful books which successfully capture the women’s desires which are buried behind the dark curtains. The author narrates many true inspiring stories on love, lust, adultery & quotes many meaningful messages.

One of the most important aspects of haya, for women, is that of guarding their chastity and their modesty. Modesty (haya) and maintaining one’s honour and dignity are of primary importance in preserving the moral fiber of any society. This is why modesty has been called the ornament of a woman; Haya has been made a part of women’s nature to safeguard her from being abused by immoral men.

One such inspiring, bold & beautiful story is, in a small town a beautiful young Muslim girl with some basic knowledge of astrology starts predicting the future happenings & surprisingly her predictions come true. People assume that she is blessed with some supernatural powers. All of a sudden she gets recognition & is treated like a goddess. She is praised, respected & followed by many people specially men.

In spite of getting all the fame, respect & luxurious life she is disappointed. Her personnel desires remain like unfulfilled dreams. Sometimes she thinks to have affair with her disciples but afraid of the false image. Even she thinks of having an affair with an old man who guards her round the clock. But unfortunately the old man does not understand the feelings of the girl, because he respects & treats her as goddess.

When she is treated like goddess, she is not allowed to get married & lead a normal life. At the end the girl sheds her false image, comes out boldly & expresses her feelings. All she want is love & affection in life. She complains that men have the habit of ignoring her basic needs and they start taking everything for granted. Pleasing men has long been the way of women. Not only about sexual gratification but in every aspect of life. Women go to just to ensure that their men are completely happy. Men must also ensure to fulfill the basic needs of women and try to listen to what she desires and wants from the relationship.

The Almighty created desire; he divided it into ten parts. He gave nine parts to women and one part to men. Hence women cannot be trusted to control their desires. They must be controlled and protected from themselves because finally the women will always have to pay the price for misunderstanding.

The author using examples from true tales & myths gives a true message that women can learn to know their strengths and weaknesses and become the subjects of their own desires rather than the objects of others.

Overall a compassionate, fascinating & well researched book about women’s issues. The reader goes away with an appreciation of how a religion & false practices affects the normal life of millions of people around the world.

This book is a must read for all women and definitely for men who want to know and understand women more completely.
