I’ve an account and in fact all sort of accounts in HDFC North Ex Mall branch, Delhi. As it was opened by my corporate, hence has to live with it. But all those who can, please be aware and at least stay away from HDFC North ex Mall branch.
The Lady Manager has got no regard for her customers. When asked to add one more teller for handling cash transactions, she will ask you if you hold a savings or current account. I answered "savings" and the reply was then I don’t see a need for you to have many transactions and hence the need to stand in deposit and withdrawal queue. And she storms out of her room. I’m amused as I have great relationships with earlier managers who really cared for your feedback, forget total disregard for a customer.
This is despite the fact that lady had prompted her entire staff to gun for customers. Her staff is forced to open every sort of account or relation, you already don’t have with the bank. Though most of her staff is courteous but unfortunately due to her, everyone has stringent targets and have to shamelessly ask customers to open more accounts, child accounts, demat accounts, ISA, Buy insurance etc. etc.
I myself have opened child account and wife account though well knowing that I have to maintain a certain balance in those accounts. But I was told by her that you just open account and you need not worry about keeping balance as she promised to convert me to classic account. Its another story that I still had to pay fines.
You will then be asked to open a recurring account and will withdraw money exactly when they see deficit funds and will charge you fines.
Then they will open Demat accounts, which runs on a pathetic platform and needs you to call’call center’ if you have specific needs.
Over a period of 1 year, I have paid more fines than the interest and see literally no value add from HDFC bank.
The North ex mall branch has become synonymous to white-collared mafias who has but one goal, - "Swindle customer’s money" and with this motto in mind, our Madam Manager is pushing all her staff and customer alike to corner.
On top of it, she will not fail to insult you, humiliate you and intimidate you, should you raise any concerns. Not to say, you will get in-numerous pestering call for buying their other products.
Its a marketing hell in HDFC North Ex Delhi Branch.
