I had 2 accounts in HDFC Bank and have suffered the maximum from the banks horrible customer service.
I would want to ask everyone not to take an HDFC bank account until necessary. Also, please do not buy ULIP products that the bankers at branches sell, because they always missed. There is an attitude that I have overheard the bankers; we will be transferred the next year so why not take this customer for a ride and fulfill our targets.If anyone has a complaint, I would suggest do not go to your branch as it is a waste of time. I went to the branch for my Netbanking PIN. I went on 3rd June to fill the form and was told that it will come by 7 days so by 11th June.
I again went on 13th June, however, the Branch Manager said he has no control over courier delivery and we have to wait, there is no other alternative. The branch authority told me to leave the branch and not crowd near their inquiry counter, as I was blocking invisible customers standing, yes!!! she said I was blocking the counter for other customers-there was no other customer in the branch.She also started shrieking that they cannot help us.
I am closing my account hopefully in September 2014.
