I applied for HDFC home loan, their Executive has collected all necessary document from me
on 2 May 2012 and told me that its going to take 7 working day as my project is under approved project list
of HDFC. After 7 working days have passed, I asked this person that already 7 days have passed whats the status of my application, he told me sir its going to take 1-2 days more. Unprofessional-ism of HDFC is such that this gentleman even after delay is from their side was not giving me any updates and even when I am
calling this person it used to answer 1 call out of 10 calls. In this way 25 days have passed.
I asked this guy boss I have to give payment to builder so tell me if this application is going to take more time
I can get cheque from my father. he said no Sir no need only 1-2 days more. After 3-4 days I tried to call this
person but this person neither picked my call nor respond to my message. Then I called HDFC customer care and they told me that my file was logged in on 31 May 2012 and its going to take 6-7 days more.
I have then given this month payment by borrowing cash from my father. you can very well understand what could have happened in case I have totally relied on this bank. I then applied loan from BOB(Bank of baroda) and my application was processed within a week without any processing fees. I have now learnt a lesson that HDFC is the worst bank of the lot with pathetic customer care, SO I will discourage everyone who is thinking to take loan from HDFC to just be extra cautious.
