Continuing the legacy of nationalized banks

HDFC may have fancy technology and MBAs working for them

but they still retain the legacy of nationalized banks of

poor human interface. As long as you don’t need to deal

with bank employees you are ok but the moment the human

interface comes, things start going downhill. In my

experience with the Noida branch I found the bank employees

(except a couple of them) including the manager lacking

basic etiquette. Nobody there believes in picking up phones

but everybody believes in talking like they are your boss.

They expect you to call PhoneBanking but their welcome

package doesn’t include the customer ID which is essential

to get started with PhoneBanking.
