I have an SB A/C with the Palakkad branch of the HDFC and one afternoon, eventhough I could remit the amount at their ATM, since the amount remitted will be shown immediately in my account I preferred to remit at the branch. I was disappointed on seeing a long Q in the branch.
I stood in the Q for one minute thinking that HDFC too is not different from a public sector bank and then an unexpected thing happened, the manager of the branch who was sitting inside his cabin came out and went to the cash counter and collected the amounts from the men standing in the Q and politely requested all to get seated and within 3 or 4 minutes the counter became empty.
I was really appreciative of this act and I thought to post it to the readers of this review to show the concern they have for their customers eventhough their fee structure is on the upperside of the ladder and eventhough the customer service at the bank is good the customer service personnel at the HDFC Main centre who attend the call free number should be taught to speak politely.
