I opened my account in HDFC in may this year. I was having my saving account in two other nationalized banks.
listed below are few differences I have observed between nationalized banks and private banks(HDFC)
in nationalized banks they behave like they are obliging you with their services but in private bank everybody is ready to help. account opening process is very complex in nation. bank but it is simple in private. bank though a bit costly.
one can access money any time using ATM’ s of private bank, ATM’ s are not provided in general by National bank.
ATM’ s can perform other tasks too:
Depositing money thru cash
balance inquiry
mini statement
Enquiry for other services provided by the bank by bank
HDFC banks have a good network of ATM’ s in South Dehli and Central delhi. so if one is living in south delhi this bank is very convenient.
The HDFC bank is providing many other services like phone banking, internet banking, Debit card
All in all this bank provides very efficient services.
