Well I opened this one as my pay account. It ended up making my banking life a misery because I had to move from CITI to HDFC (my company just downgraded my banking life in a day). Anyway, to come to the point, they used to call me to the branch for every other small problem. Then I had to wait for 3 months and 10 calls to their inapproachable customer service to get my internet PIN. Then to my horror I discovered that their internet banking was a total waste. You can not do anything other then checking your bank statements. I dont know why but I ended up making the mistake of opening a demat account with them. In addition to that I also applied to HDFC securities for an eBroking account. First it took their agent 15 days to turn up at my residence and then he would not let me read the stamp paper documents properly. Anyway, I went ahead and applied for the eBroking account. After 3 months to my horror I received a letter from them stating that my account has been canceled on my request. This was totally out of the blue because I never sent any such request. I called them up and found them at loss of words. On further digging and a few calls I came to know that the marketing company whose agent took my application was blacklisted by the bank and then they closed all the accounts that were applied via that marketing company. This is totally unacceptable, they didnt even had the courtesy to call and explaining the problem and they are punishing their customers for no mistake of theirs. I think I have seen the last of this bank and I will close my accounts with them.
