Poor service and irresponsiblities

Hi,


I have HDFC housing loan, which is partly disbursed. My issues are.




  1. I get interest rates increment Information about interest rates increment, if any, is given verbally when I used to handover check monthly.




Suggestion: Change in interest rates should be communicated in time, in the form of written communication.




  1. When I talked to account person he gave me some random amount in which he calculated all previous pre EMIs as per new interest rate. When I asked for details and made him understand that the new interest rate came effective from Dec 2004, he re-calculated and provided me the right figure. Moreover, he didn’t talk properly when I pointed out his fault.




Suggestion: Bank employees should be responsible when dealing with the customers. For us, they are the face of the bank. If they are ill mannered, it does not help your reputation at all.




  1. When I enquired about these inconsistencies, the accounts person told that we have a large volume of work to handle.




Suggestion: Is this acceptable. I hope u hire professionals. They are paid to handle work properly.




  1. One my cheque bounced due to out of date (I put year 2004 instead of 2005). But there was no intimation to me. I was told that a normal mail has been sent (which I never received). I got almost three calls from customer care asking when I am going to disburse the rest amount of loan and they did not inform me about this. The accounts person told it might be a mistake with just my case.




Suggestion: Again, proper communication should be made to the customers, either through calls, emails, posts, couriers, etc.
