One day when I was withdrawing cash from HDFC Bank ATM, a representative approached me with the HDFC Bank Credit card scheme saying that I can get the credit card for free (i.e. annual fee for the first year waived) as I have the account with the same bank. I just have to give him the Bank statement. I will be getting the gift as well.
I received the credit card after few days. Irony began from there, I got the bill saying I have to pay the first year fee then only I can continue using the card and will be getting the gift. I called customer care and was told by them that there was some miscommunication regarding the waiver of the fees.
I paid the amount. That was my first mistake. My card was issued in October. I paid my first year fees in November.
For gift, I am still waiting... I am calling Customer care since last 3 Months (6-7 times) and everytime I was told that I will be getting the same in next 7-10 days.

In this era of cut-throat competition, if HDFC bank will keep on providing these kinds of services then God help them.
