I agree with the reviewer on his view about hdfc security service in particular and hdfc bank in general.
I did have similar experience when online trading was just starting in India during year 2000-2001.
I had HDFC bank saving bank account which I tried to link with my newly opened hdfc security account.
It was done , but the online trading experience was very complex. For every trade , one has to allot the shares. For knowing your trade history, one has to call by telephone lines. The no provided is not toll-free but it is of mumbai, so STD charges have to be paid. The timing for calling to know your trade or account status is very limited and not round the clock.
Inspite of all odds, the fees charged by them is much above industry average.
The customer support by the personal banker was very indifferent and the staff was very high-headed and arrogant.
I had closed all my account from HDFC group and switched over to ICICI. The experience with ICICI has been just opposite, that is very satisfying since then till today.
I am active and happy ICICI customer.
